Betting Guide – Man Utd V Arsenal 16/05/09

Betting Guide

Manchester United can today wrap up the title if they avoid defeat in the Sky live game against Arsenal at Old Trafford. United will want to get the job finished today so they can pick a ‘Champions League’ motivated team against Hull in their final game of the season.

United looked far from their best on Wednesday night at Wigan but still got the job done and expect a similar outcome today. Don’t expect them to outplay Arsenal in the same fashion as they did in the Champions League semi-finals in todays match but to just do what is required to get by.

Arsenal have conceded heavily to all three of their main rivals in recent weeks, surely they can’t be as bad as they have been lately and they will be determined to show the footballing world that they are not the softies that they have been accused of being.

Expect Alex Ferguson to freshen things up again. Tevez, Giggs and Neville will probally get recalls and their will be almost certain starts for Darren Fletcher for the rest of the season with him missing the Champions League Final. Arsenal still have goalkeeper Manuel Almunia out injured, Clichy and Eduardo also haven’t shaken off their niggles yet and William Gallas is out for the rest of the season.

At 8/13 Man Utd might be a bit short for a team not needing to win. Arsenal on the other hand look massive at 6/1 for a team of their ability, it’s just recent form and the fact United won’t want to lose today putting me of the Gunners. Expect a scoring draw myself, 1-1 is 7/1 with Sky Bet and Sportingbet, while 2-2 is 18/1 with again Sky Bet and Sportingbet.
