Although it’s not one of the four Cheltenham Festival show piece races, the Ryanair Chase is still a race of large significance, and as a result it attracts a lot of betting interest.
Not all bookmakers offer ‘Non Runner No Bet’ on the Ryanair Chase, one exception to that is bet365, who are also the same on the four Championship races.
Due to uncertainty over which horses will run in which races in the build up to the Festival, having ‘Non Runner No Bet’ available on antepost bets on the Ryanair Chase is a handy option to have.
This year’s race takes place on (Thursday) 17th March, at 2.50pm. The favourite is the Willie Mullins trained Vautour, who incidentally is also the favourite to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup, due to take place the following day (Friday 18th March).
Due to the fact that there is not 100% certainty over which race the French owned Gelding will take place in, having the option of ‘Non Runner No Bet’ on both races is very helpful.
If you are considering backing Vautour in the Ryanair Chase, it is definitely worth going with a Non Runner No Bet bookmaker such as bet365. That way you are covered if his connections do decide to run him in the Gold Cup.
